GETTING MORE GIRLS ON BIKES
Pedal Power is designed for riders of all abilities, from balance bikes and tricycles to two-wheelers and everything in between. Each session combines a social-emotional learning skill with a bike-riding skill, using movement and reflection to help build strong, confident girls. Advanced riders head out on community rides, while newer riders engage in skill-building games. Every curriculum culminates in a leadership event planned by the girls themselves. Sessions are 90 minutes long and take place once a week for eight weeks.
During our glide-to-ride clinics, we help riders progress through the skills needed to bike on two wheels in a safe and judgment-free environment. Riders start by practicing balancing, moving on turning, and finally, pedaling on their own.
Camp GiG consists of 5 half or full-day sessions with small groups ensuring a close-knit and inclusive experience. Through biking adventures and team-building activities, girls will discover what it means to be a supportive friend and develop the confidence to tackle challenges in the classroom, at home, and on the bike trail. Each day will leave them feeling strong, appreciated, and connected to their teammates.
Girls aged 13 to 17 can become Junior Coaches and be powerful role models while gaining leadership skills and service credits. Junior Coaches help younger riders build confidence and resilience - while making a lasting difference in their community.
